Carine Dikambi Njamo, a tech innovator, a web 3.0 strategist and a digital finance expert, is championing financial inclusion across francophone Africa. Through her work, the Cameroonian promotes the adoption of cryptocurrency and blockchains. As the founder of Inoni tech, a Cameroon-based hub specializing in web 3.0, she is at the forefront of educating African youth on blockchain technologies.
After spending years building a successful career in financial institutions across Europe and the US, Carine Dikambi Njamo returned to Cameroon in 2021 with a mission : promoting digital finance in Africa.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from the faculty of humanities and social sciences at Paris Descartes University – Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in management sciences. After completing her studies in France, she started her professional career in the US where she honed her expertise.
In 2010, she joined Société Générale Corporate and Investment in New-York as a financial analyst, and then as associate- liquidity and capital management. The following year, she moved to the American Bank, Citi, where she served as vice-president of the institutional client group, PM and regulatory solutions. Two years later, in 2013, she joined American express, an american financial institution, as a director of risk and information management and Director from 2016 to 2021.
After seven years at the company, she made the decision to return to Cameroon driven by the ambition to promote digital finance in her home country. She founded Inoni Tech, a technological hub operating in Cameroon and dedicated to web 3.0 and blockchain, with the goal of developping innovative technologies and solutions to foster a sustainable and inclusive growth in Francophone Africa.
In 2021, while in Cameroon, she took on a regional leadership role with Binance, the leading global cryptocurrency exchange platform. As regional Director for Francophone Africa, she pioneered the establishment and local launch of binance in more than twenty markets in francophone Africa. Under her management, monthly trading volumes increased significantly from 7 millions of dollars to 110 millions of dollars.
She also worked at Yellow card, an African fintech company, where she led operations across more than 20 African countries, building regulatory frameworks, managing cross-border teams and scaling the platform.
In 2023, she stepped into a role as Senior global director of operations at the fintech platform Crypto startup. She is currently a Stealth builder within Stealth Startup, a global network of entrepreneurs working on innovative ventures behind the scenes.
Today, Carine Dikambi Njamo continues to leverage her experience in blockchain and web 3.0 to empower the youth and foster financial inclusion in francophone Africa.
