Brazzaville will be hosting the first Africa Finance, Banking and Digitalisation Summit (AFBDS- CEMAC) on 25 and 26 January 2024. The event will provide an opportunity to reaffirm the key role of digitisation in transforming economies and financial systems for greater resilience; to create synergies between countries and institutions in the CEMAC zone; to share experiences; and to reflect on the modernisation of banking and financial infrastructure for greater regional integration. A number of topics will be discussed at the event, including: fintechs and financial compliance, technological innovation, the challenges facing the banking and financial ecosystem, financial inclusion, the digitalisation of payments, the fight against money laundering, the role of microfinance in the age of digitalisation, financial players, ESG and humanitarian commitments.
At the same time, the event will host an awards ceremony at which trophies will be awarded to the best bankers and banks in Central Africa which are contributing to the region’s economic and social development.
