African Ports Forum

Under a hybrid format, the next African Ports Forum will be held in Douala, Cameroon, under the theme “Africa’s ports in the light of the AfCFTA”. Indeed, the African Free Trade Area is shaking things up for port trade, by facilitating trade and reducing tariff and non-tariff barriers. What are the consequences for port activity? This will be the theme of the first round table, focused on how to strengthen the role of ports in intercontinental trade, in an Africa in the midst of an economic integration policy.

Other themes will be addressed, such as the delay in the application of international norms and standards by African ports or the role of dry ports, public-private partnerships, digitization, etc.

Various representatives of governments, transport infrastructures, port operators, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, donors, consultants, financiers, etc. will be present at this meeting.
