With more than 15 years of expertise in program administration, scientific research, and innovation in the fields of agriculture, health, and climate change, Doris Wangari Ndegwa currently serves as the Science for Africa Foundation's senior program officer. She served as the country program manager for the biosafety systems program from 2014 to 2022 and as a research scientist at the Kenya Medical Research Institute from 2022 to 2023. She was African Women for Biosciences (AWfB) organization's founding member and secretary. She graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with a bachelor's degree in medical microbiology, a master's degree in biotechnology, and an MBA in strategic management.
