Dr. Carla Cerami is a Principle Investigator in the Nutrition and Planetary Health Theme at MRCG Unit The Gambia at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is based in The Gambia. In June 2016, she became the Leader of the Iron and Infection group in the Nutrition Theme at the Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia (MRCG). Since joining MRCG, Dr. Cerami has been active in the education of PhD, MSc and University students and has been funded by both the Medical Research Council and the Gates Foundation.
