2nd Dakar Youth and Children’s Book Fair

Location: Dakar (Senegal)

The 2nd Dakar Children’s and Youth Book Fair known as Dakar – Livres will be held from November 20 to 24 at the Blaise Senghor Regional Cultural Center in Dakar. The event is organized by the Baobab Editions publishing house in collaboration with the Senegalese Publishers Association (ASE) and the Senegalese Writers’ Association. Its objective is to promote children’s books and encourage reading among young people.

As part of the fair, several educational and fun activities, as well as writing and illustration workshops for children are planned. The event also aims to encourage meetings between authors and the public, as well as exchanges between professionals in the book sector. During the fair, prizes are also awarded to the best children’s book authors.
