Biographie
Julien Ngum Che is a Cameroonian scholar-practitioner, gender specialist and humanitarian working towards integrated humanitarian response, gender justice, social inclusion and humanitarian actions in Cameroon especially in crisis-affected communities. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Organization for the Empowerment of the Marginalized (ORGEM), a grassroots organization focused on gender-responsive climate advocacy, activism, and the empowerment of women, youth, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) across Cameroon. For the past 10 years, Julien has built a career in the spheres of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, child protection, and feminist climate action. She has utilized both the feminist perspective and the social ecological framework to address the disparate levels of marginalization. She has become one of Cameroon’s authoritative voices in GBV, especially in crisis situations involving the internal Anglophone conflict and IDPs.
