Hannah Osei-Owusu is a registered general nurse, environmental sustainability expert, medical waste advocate. She is the founder of MedWaste Solutions which aims to tackle one of the most pressing issues in the healthcare industry: the safe and environmentally responsible disposal of medical waste in Ghana. Under her leadership, MedWaste Solutions has undertaken significant projects such as introducing cutting-edge waste segregation systems to ensure that hazardous materials like sharps, chemicals, and infectious agents, are isolated from general waste streams. This not only minimizes the risk of contamination and disease transmission but also facilitates the recycling of non-hazardous materials. She is Yali (Young African Leaders Initiative) Alumni, a leadership program funded by USAID. Hannah is also the founder of Superior Health Awareness Ghana, an NGO bringing free healthcare to the Aged.
